Mrs. Kathleen Schwartz -- Principal

I am so proud to be serving the parents and students at Prairie Catholic Schools. I graduated from Alverno College in Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education with two minors in Drama and Psychology. I received my 316 Reading License and Masters Degree in Administration and Curriculum from Cardinal Stritch University also located in Milwaukee. I have also taken courses in At-Risk Education from Marian College in Fond du Lac.

I have taught 1st and 2nd grades at St. Jude the Apostle in Wauwatosa and Kindergarten at St. Rita's in West Allis. For the Milwaukee Public Schools, I taught Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten at Maple Tree School and transferred to 78th Street School to teach 1st and 2nd grades. I moved from Milwaukee and taught At-Risk students in the middle school and at the high school levels.

My administrative experience is in the middle school where I was an assistant principal and then the dual role of principal and athletic director of a school of 500+ students.

I have received awards for:
  • Community Action for Excellence
  • Who's Who in America Education
  • President of Alpha Sigma Feii
I am affiliated with the following:
  • Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
  • National School Board Association
  • Delta Kappa Gamma
  • Phi Delta Kappa
  • State and National Reading Associations
  • Educational Leadership
I am so happy to return to "my roots" where the people haven't changed and where I feel that I'm finally home. I am married to a wonderful electrician, Frank and I have two daughters, Jessica and Jenna and one granddaughter, Zoe. I love animals, reading, walking, the outdoors and visits from people.
